Joe’s Tavern & Casino was founded and named after the legendary Joseph “JOE” Alvise Viani Jr. who started this western landmark after his war service. Joe’s Tavern & Casino soon became the hub of the Hawthorne community and a shining tribute to Nevada hospitality. Joe’s remained near and dear to the local community long after his passing. Then Rob Cashell, a Nevada son himself, came along and restored Joe’s back to the glory days with good old fashioned Nevada hospitality to become the “GO TO” place, once again, in Hawthorne. Rob Cashell and family have proudly served the citizens of Nevada for over 65 years and our proud to help continue the grand traditions of Hawthorne and Nevada.
